38" Classic Waistcoat in Scarlet Merino Melton

A classic cut waistcoat in scarlet pure merino Melton in size 38". A superb brighter (but far from obnoxious) scarlet in a sumptuously soft pure merino wool flannel by AW Hainsworth. A warmer weight textile, this fabric has a magnificent handle and a bright rich colouring. 

This size 38" has a Nehru collar, Dark Cornu Buttons and a limited edition red and gold stripe lining.

The Maker

This outer has been woven carefully in Yorkshire by the wonderful AW Hainsworth who have been busy weaving cloth since 1783. Best known (perhaps) for clothing royalty and dressing the military for full-dress ceremonial occasions, their cloth has embellished and enriched the furnishings of palaces across the world for centuries.
