Classic or Tailored Cut for Men – Classic or Longer Length for Ladies

Men's Cuts

We offer our Men's waistcoats in two cuts, the Classic Fit and the Tailored Fit.

The Classic Cut is shown in Sand below, and the Tailored Cut in Yellow.

The two cuts both have five button-fronts and side vents for ease when moving and sitting. Fully lined, they have generous inside facings to avoid unsightly lining slippage.

At the chest a welted outbreast pocket sits at a gentle angle to the armhole. Two generously deep pockets sit squarely at the hip. Inside our waistcoats, an inbreast pocket rests on the right hand side and a credit card sized pocket at elbow height on the left.

Classic Cut

The Classic Cut is a comfortable, slightly boxy cut that tapers out very slightly from the chest. It is accommodating, particularly for those of sturdier build or more ample girth and is well-suited to wearing over a thicker jumper (your chosen size allowing).

For those whose girths have exceeded their chests in circumference, the Classic Cut is ideal.

If you think the Classic needs adapting for you, please advise us on ordering the circumference you would like at the waist (see charts), and we will adapt your cut accordingly.

Tailored Cut

The Tailored Cut is a more contoured cut that tapers in very slightly from the chest. It is particularly well-suited to those of narrower build and those that like a closer fit.

For those whose like a strong accent on the waist, the Tailored Cut can be nipped in further.

Ladies' Cuts

We offer our Ladies' waistcoats in two cuts, the Classic Cut and the Longer Length Cut.

Ladies Longer Length Cut

The Ladies Longer Length Cut is a shapely cut with Princess Seams to front and rear. Tapering in and then out from the waist, it is very flattering. Accommodating at the bust, and particularly suited to those of taller height and or longer bodies.

Ladies Classic Cut

The Ladies Classic Cut is a shorter cut with a slightly boxiershape. Waist darts to front and rear and bust darts at the front shape this easy to wear waistcoat. Again accommodating at the bust, it is particularly suited to those of shorter height and or shorter bodies.
