38" Classic Cut Waistcoat in Princess of Wales Gold Merino

A classic cut waistcoat in a beautiful greeny-gold melton by AW Hainsworth – an eye-catching and highly unusual colour, in a sumptuously soft pure merino wool flannel. A warmer weight textile, this fabric has a magnificent handle and a bright rich colouring. 

Lined in black silk, with a cut-away collar and dark cornu buttons.

The Maker

This outer has been woven carefully in Yorkshire by the wonderful AW Hainsworth who have been busy weaving cloth since 1783. Best known (perhaps) for clothing royalty and dressing the military for full-dress ceremonial occasions, their cloth has embellished and enriched the furnishings of palaces across the world for centuries.
